The Textile Artist’s Collective of Nova Scotia (TAC) is returning to the South Shore with their sixth exhibition, “Perceptions.” From November 4 to 16, the Lunenburg Art Gallery will be transformed into a kaleidoscope of colour, texture and imagination, featuring an extraordinary collection of contemporary textile art.
TAC is a group of 12 textile artists from across Nova Scotia, four of whom are from Lunenburg County, with many members having shown at juried exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Each artist
brings a distinctive voice to the collective, combining fabric, paint, dye, print, and often surprising materials to craft their works.
Visitors to “Perceptions” will see a display of textile art that ranges in size, technique and thematic depth. From bold abstract compositions to intricate narrative scenes, each piece is a window into the artist’s personal vision. The exhibit also includes a selection of smaller framed works, sculptural pieces, prints and art cards.
“Perceptions” is at the Lunenburg Art Gallery, 194 Lincoln Street, from Tuesday November 4 until Sunday November 16, 11am-4pm.
Admission is free.
